Today I test rode the KTM 1090 Adventure R, Triumph Tiger 800 xca and for fun, I rode the Triumph Scrambler 1200 xe. KTM 1090 Adventure R: My first thoughts on this bike are that it is considerably more powerful than the other options, a little more raw in its power delivery and the suspension is quite stiff on the road. Stock pads set us back $120.69 for the GS and $85.95 for the KTM. Other repairs that seemed pricey were the $65 brake lever for the KTM and a $400 horn button for the BMW. Yes, you read that right And just as the 950/990 Adventure was the genesis for spin-off models like the Super Duke, Super Enduro and Supermoto, the 1190 Adventure gave life to the 1290 Super Duke R naked sportbike, the the stock: 17.5" height x 14" width.
